Michael Kaeshammer has style and class in spades! From the moment he and his trio hit the stage and he puts his hands on the piano, the audience is captivated! Classically trained in Germany, he fell in love with boogie-woogie piano at 13. In 1996 while still a teenager his family moved to Canada and four recordings later he has become Canada's brightest triple-threat combo of piano virtuosity, vocal ability and charisma. Critics rave "prodigious technique and thunderous left hand bass lines on a repertoire of brilliantly picked and reshaped traditional jazz and blues classics as well as his exciting new originals..." Kaeshammer's most recent recording, "Days Like These," exemplifies that to the fullest as a surprise-filled marriage of wide ranging jazz forms, country, blues and pop. Currently, he is working on an as yet untitled follow-up recording. The core of a Kaeshammer live performance is his extraordinary ability to stir or quiet a large crowd using his piano and his sense of humor. And when Kaeshammer boogies, look out, the room gets jumping!!
