Monica's fresh, eclectic approach and insightful interpretations of the songs penned by the man around whom she grew up (Henry Mancini and Mercer were not only successful collaborators, they were also dear friends) reconfirms the timelessness of Johnny Mercer's songs. Also featured are six sets of Mercer song lyrics which Ginger Mercer (Johnny Mercer's widow) discovered and gave to songwriter Barry Manilow.
